A Summer season of fantastic family workshops at the museum

We are thrilled that the Museum is able to open its doors and welcome visitors back to see amazing new exhibitions, permanent collections and our Summer Season of Workshops! These family workshops offer you and your children the unique opportunity to get up close to artefacts, ask questions and create something amazing!

Making History
Discover the many incredibly old and interesting objects in our Museum collection and then make your own historical object using a variety of materials. You could for instance make a Roman helmet, celtic mirror, armour or even try your hand at carving a flint axe or arrowhead out of soap. Great fun!

This is a family workshop suitable for ages 7 - 12 years. All materials provided just bring your curiosity.
