A talk with Worthing Museum archaeologist James Sainsbury on local archaeologist John Pull and his work on the Worthing flint mines. John Pull was a working-class amateur archaeologist who made discoveries of international significance on the beautiful downland north of Worthing. His work was rubbished by the upper-class establishment at the time yet he continued with his excavations, eventually being acknowledged as an archaeologist of talent. Join James on a journey to the top of our green hills and below into subterranean chalk tunnels from a far distant past.
