Workshop based on the themes of the ST SARA KALI exhibition

Activate Your Accessories workshop led by Alex Michon. As a response to this exhibition this workshop focuses on the new non-binary persona of St Sara Kali George as protector, the clothing acts as a signifier of a decorative ‘armour’ against all forms of oppression.

In the workshop we will be making corsages, badges and bags which mirror this creative intentionality. Our call to arms will be worn on our lapels or sloganed onto our bags for life. Using supplied recycled materials, all participants will discover the pleasure of making something by hand which is not only decorative but conceptually rooted in resistance too!
