Upcoming Films

At Connaught Cinema we are passionate about film and the cinema experience. We are partnered with Picturehouse to bring Worthing the best in art-house, documentaries and foreign cinema alongside the best blockbusters and screenings of classic films from the archives. We are dedicated to creating a film line-up for the whole of Worthing and really serve our community.

Our Screens

The Connaught is one of the oldest cinemas in the UK, having first opening its doors on 27th July 1914. Although many original features are still in place, the cinema equipment is state of the art - including 4K projection, 7.1 surround sound, Newly installed screens - whilst also retaining 35mm projection equipment for screening older films in their original formats.

We work with national film bodies such as BFI and ICO to work on broadening our film line-up with seasons designed to expand the cinematic knowledge of filmgoers as well as educate. We also run a Young Film Programmers team giving young adult film fans their chance to curate their own film screenings. We run screenings with subtitles, dementia & autism friendly performances and for targeted family older audiences to ensure that no-one in Worthing is left without access to the wonderful world of cinema.
