‘Nick, my husband, is head of an adult learning provider in Sussex that enables people to get back into work through education – normally all in-person classes. When the pandemic hit, he worked around the clock for what seemed like months on end to ensure the safety of his students, team, and teaching staff on top of flipping the teaching delivery to online. This might sound simple and many schools/businesses did do this but he had no previous experience or framework or support so worked everything out for himself and trained up his teachers (in record time) to be able to deliver courses online (most of his teachers had no clue at all and some didn’t even have laptops) and support students and staff throughout all of the panic, stress and uncertainty. He did this all from our kitchen table (before this, he never ever worked from home) – he knows how important and what a lifeline some of the courses he offers can be to people in the community…’ – Meghan
