A stunning Theatre space, the Connaught Theatre is best suited to events such as company presentations and commercial filming. This venue benefits from being in the centre of Worthing town with excellent transport links within easy reach.
This venue operates daily as a Theatre and Cinema, and therefore has limited availability. The best availability will be during term time, Tuesday to Fridays between 9am and 12pm. Please check with the Hires Team for our latest availability.
Venue and stage access
The main entrance to the Connaught Theatre is at the front on Union Place. The stage is fully accessible at street level, and can be arranged with the Hires and Technical Teams.
The seating is split into stalls and balcony, with a gentle rake from the middle of the stalls and then a slightly raised balcony area. 6 wheelchair users can be accommodated on the balcony level.
Parking restrictions are in place around the Connaught Theatre, but there are parking options within easy walking distance. Please ask the hires team for more information.

We have an in-house venue hire team to ensure the hiring process is smooth. In addition to the hire of the venue, we can offer various layout, technical, staffing, box office and catering assistance. Charges will apply.
Layout options can be discussed with the hires team, and may be subject to a charge.
Most hiring options include one Technician as a Stage Manager. This is for health and safety purposes for any hire using the stage or backstage areas. All other technicians would be additional and can be organised through our team.
